Okay for our shower I am putting my child's website on the invite (i'm desiging them, I am a wedding planner and I have a ton of connections, my mom is hosting). This is to encourage people to visit the website and so they can see and hear all about the baby and I don't have to tell the story a bazillion times - not the chatty type. I was going to put the map up to the venue and the details/contact info on the site. But would it be tacky to put the registry on the same page of my website? I'm leaning to yes. I can't register at the small boutique store I like (all eco friendly) so I was just going to say prefered stores or something. But i'm sure it's tacky I just want to confirm.
Re: Ettiquette - Registry List
So wait- you can't register at the store, so you want to put a list of what you want from that store on the baby website?
Eh, i dont' really see that as being all that different than an official registry from BRU or what have you. I'd make it a link from the main page and include the list.

So, I'm confused. You're a wedding planner, designing your childs website, planning the shower and your mom is just officially hosting it?
I'm so confused as to what any of that has to do with a registry.
But, going along with what ecb said, if I'm understanding it correctly, it'd not be any different, in theory, then linking a BRU registry to your website. If you're going to do that, I'd just make a "Shower information" sub-page on the website with the information, including maps, details, etc.

Yes, tacky. Limiting people to one store that is probably pricier than most because it's eco-friendly and then putting that information on a webpage reeks of tacky to me. Sorry.
Really? You want people to come to a party and give you gifts and you can't be bothered to chat with them about the baby and how the pregnancy is going?
