omg. We have a Halloween DISASTER here!!11!

So this morning after my exercise group was over, we met at someone's house for a Halloween play date. When we got there, I put Charlie in his giraffe costume and it was adorable. Then, I went to put Leo in his lion costume (my little menagerie!!), and it is too small!! Like, way way too small! Come ON! I bought these in August but it's 2T and everything else 2T fits him fine.

NOW what!? I have THREE Halloween parties this week people. We're at defcon five here. I need another lion costume (and yes it HAS to be a lion - these things are important), apparently 3T, and I need it by Thursday! And it needs to be cheap. Man, that's what I get for buying early this year!

eta: Also, just to make this somewhat relevant to others instead of just another whiny mom-rant (Stick out tongue), make sure your kids try their costumes on people! Am I the only one who is so trusting of the labels? Probably.

    you're not the only one.  I could only find Taryn's costume in a 4T and she doesn't even wear a 5T but it looks like it might fit.  I really really need to put it on her and see...i might be desperate along with you!

    Costco had some cute costumes, but I'm not sure what sizes or types. Maybe you can call them and Target to see what they have in stock?

    I feel ya. We had a costume disaster also....see siggy below. See two costumes? No, I am not a multi-costume kind of gal, but Gracie HATES the lamb. I think she hates it b/c it is too big and bulky. So my mom bought her the bee (and insisted on taking her in for new pictures in her "actual" Halloween costume Confused )

    We went to Halloween Express over the weekend and saw some cute Lion costumes.  And if you go to their website they have a 10% off coupon.  Now hopefully Leo won't do anymore growing between now and Thursday.  

    I hear you on the try on the costume first.  I should have known better than to order DS's lion costume from Hautelook.  When we got it I could not get the headpiece on him without suffocating DS.  Thank goodness I tried it again just to see if I could get it on while he was playing one day and it worked.   For a second I started to panic that we wasted our money.

    I almost had to break Emily's arm to get her in her Fairy Costume today. I'm just going to piss her off and wrangle it on her again for Halloween and call it a day!

    It might save you a trip but I stopped by at Baby R Us near the 360 loop and there wasn't much left.. the biggest size that they have was 18 mth giraffe.. :(
