Treadmills

Hey ladies!

 MH and I have decided that our Christmas present to each other is going to be buying a treadmill.  That way I can walk at home while I'm preggers and find the energy and after the baby is here I can get some exercise while he/she sleeps. 

Any recommendations on treadmills?  We're looking to spend around $1000 or so and want to make sure we get something nice and cushioned that will last.

    Wait until around February or March.  All the people who bought new equipment for New Year's Resolutions and Christmas have generally given up by then.  Check places like Craig's List or used sporting goods stores like Play It Again Sports.   

    I think you'd be better off buying a jogger stroller like a BOB Revolution (DS always naps while we're out running) and spending the rest of the money on a nice DSLR camera.

    I have a Livestrong and I've been very happy with it.  We got it at D!ck's last December.  Be sure to ask the sales associates about them, they had varying amounts of cushioning depending on the price point.

    I use mine all the time, my old one was 18 years old and I ran it into the ground!  Long winters and hilly terrain making walking outdoors here a bit of a challange.

    Oh that's great!  We were eyeing those at ***'s near us as well.  I'll look into them more!

     Did you get yours on sale at all?  I suppose maybe around the holidays I might find a deal or something.... Hm.

    D!cks or Sears has good ones and you can try them out before buying. However after New Year's they are usually on sale for resolution time, and like a PP said, if you wait til March you can get good deals on Craigslist from the people that bought them in Jan and are already giving up. That's what I did this past year!
