Ergo carrier without infant insert ?

I've seen on here several people just use a blanket and not the insert.  I bought the insert, but my sweet LO screams!  Absolutely hates it!  Yesterday I wore him around the house for a little bit without the insert.  He was fine!  He actually fell asleep.  I worried the whole time about his head, since he doesn't have that under control yet.  How are you using the blanket?  Is it to support baby's head? If so, how are you placing it in the carrier?  Any tips will be appreciated!  Thanks!

    Have you checked on the Ergo website?  There are a lot of videos on there about positioning, etc.  I do know it's dangerous not to use the insert at that age.

    How old is your LO?

    I have been using the Ergo for about a month w/o the insert and it's been fine. I did place a blanket under his bum for a bit, but it didn't seem necessary. I do keep his legs froggied for now.
