**I am doing a C&P from my due date board - I was surprised when a lot of girls said they had never heard of getting shower hostess gifts before and that it must be a regional thing. Did you get your hosts shower gifts?**
I'm having three showers - my mom, sisters & aunts are throwing one, my MIL and DH's aunts are throwing another one and then a few of my friends are throwing one.
While I'm thrilled to be having three showers and feel so blessed & lucky that I have so many family & friends stepping up to help out - I started to wonder what am I going to get them all as a thank you gift?
I'm looking at about 13 people "hosting" the three showers...that's a lot of "thank you gifts". I'm getting nervous.
Re: Shower Host Gifts
We got them a gc to go out to eat. But it was just one for my mom and stepdad and then one for Dh's mom and dad.
13 people is a ton of people to buy gifts for....could you maybe have them over and cook them dinner as a "thank you"?

I did do host gifts (did them for bridal shower as well). My shower was in November and hosted by my mom, sister, MIL and family friend so I had to purchase 4 gifts. One of my favorite things are the crystal christmas ornaments from Tiffanys (yes I know you are thinking they are expensive but they are not really). They have a bunch of mini crystal ornaments ever year that run about $30-35 dollars each online. And they came all wrapped up beautifully in the typical Tiffany's box and bow. I just had to add a card and everyone had a special ornament to add to their tree the next month as a thank you.

Maybe it is a region thing, because my one friend threw a shower over the weekend and I asked her what her gift was, and she thought it was weird that she would get a gift. She's from OH.
My mom and sister are throwing my shower, and I'm at a loss of what to get them, so I was thinking of having a professional photographer take family photos and individual family photos, so everyone has nice pics together and with their own family.
I would suggest making something as a gift. 13 people is A LOT!!! You can make each one a basket that reflects their likes or interests.
Two words:
Mint Crinkles.
done - expect that to be in your thank you gift. haha!
I got nice yankee candles for my two showers (MIL and Aunts). For my bridal shower I got everyone nice vases from Crate & Barrel that were their "styles" since they have so many, and most were <$30.
13 is a lot, yikes!

Ours shower was hosted by our moms, so we got them both "Ask me about my grandkids!" mugs from Hallmark and had them filled with flower arrangements at Westborn Market (they did an awesome job!). We gave them to our moms just before the shower and they looked nice displayed in the room.
Do you bake? How about homemade cookies/biscotti wrapped in cellophane with pretty ribbon, given in cute mug (you can usually find nice ones at Dollar Tree), with a single packet of good cocoa? I've given that as Christmas gifts when something small was appropriate. Total cost is around $5, but with that homemade element and a thoughtful note, I think it would be fine. I guess I have a thing for mugs...
my mom threw my shower and i got her 2 giant mums as a thank you
she went with a fall theme for the shower so she used them as decor and then took them home
