I eat a lot of lunch meat sandwiches or "DIY lunchables" where I use deli meat, sliced cheese and triscuits. Well, now that the deli meat is a no-no, I'm trying to figure out what to do for lunches during the week. What do you typically eat for lunches?
Re: Random ? - what do you typically eat for lunch?
Yeah, that's what I'm planning to do this week, but I have a feeling I'll get sick of it! Oh well, I guess if the outcome is a happy and healthy baby then it's all worth it!
im having a baked potato today with brocoli! But im a stay at home wife and i dont eat meat lol.
Maybe heat up what you had for dinner?

Oooh, I don't know why I didn't think of this, considering last week DH was sick of deli meat so he was eating PB&J for lunches. I could definitely do PB sandwiches occasionally (I don't do jelly). Thanks for the reminder!!
ohhh egg salad!!!! Thanks Girl!
Ashamed to say it, but today I have a can of Chef Boyardee and I can't wait to eat it
So much for my plans to stay active and eat healthy - seems like it's just not going to happen right now - hoping once the m/s passes I can get back on track!
This. Lately, I've been choking down wheat thins for lunch. Yesterday I tried mashed potatoes, and those didn't sit so well.
No shame in that. I could totally go for some mini ravs almost any day of the week!
I usually have leftovers from the night before. If not, I sometimes have lean cuisine pizza, healthy choice mixer things with rice or pasta, or I have a deli sandwich.
I have not cut out lunchmeat completely, nor do I heat it up every time. If its been sitting out for a while I wont eat it, but if its kept cold I dont worry about it too much.
Your lunch sounds AWESOME! and I'm having the same feeling...right now I eat what I can handle, and am hoping to get back on track soon too.
hahaha dont worry last pregnancy i was feeling disgustinly guilty about wanting speghetti o's all the time. But it was the only think that didnt come back up so i went with it.
Honey is really good with PB since you don't do jelly...
I had ramen for my lunch today (but only about 1/2 the packet of seasoning to avoid so much salt). If you have access to a microwave, little pot pies are easy and cheap and get you a little bit of veggies.
Leftovers, salads, pitas w/ leftover chicken and veggies, peanut butter sandwiches (try banana or honey if you don't like jelly).
I have leftover chili today but I definitely feel too pukey to eat it. I might go try and find something else...
YES! I love honey and PB! I normally do this when I have organic sugar free PB because it makes it so much better.
We do have a microwave but no freezer at work so I'm afraid to take anything frozen. Although, I guess if I put it in the fridge it won't get too warm.
Whatever makes me not feel nauseous
I had half of a leftover mushroom crepe from brunch last night that I was going to have today, but it doesn't not sound good at all. I might be running up to Panera to get some soup since that is all I think I can handle today.
Because DH and I commute (an hour each direction) I do my meat prep on the weekend, and have it pre-baggied and ready to go. We do a lot of chicken breast (i eat about 1/2 of one) cooked low and slow in the oven. He's also done strip steak and tri-tip on the BBQ in the past few weeks. Otherwise I eat a lot of carrot sticks, Celery, cherry tomatoes, lightly steamed brocoli, mashed sweet potatoes/yams and hummus for dipping (instead of Ranch of other dressings).
I'm lucky though, we still have farmer's markets open. But they do really suggest winter veggies like squash and sweet potatoes. I haven't found any of those to make me sick yet.

Rainbow Born 8/22, so in love with our little girl!
Caprese salad (sliced tomatoes, sliced fresh mozzerella, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and fresh black pepper) almost every day - I'm really craving savory, salty foods right now.
We smoke chicken breasts over the weekend and slice them up to use in wraps (chicken breast per pound is much cheaper than deli meat!) and we always make extra when doing things like steak fajitas and pulled pork. I really like leftovers in general (meatloaf, meatballs to make meatball subs, lasagna, chicken Parmesan and chicken Piccata, etc.) so, I always make the full recipe rather than cutting it in half for the three of us.
Progresso's soups, especially the chicken rotini, sit really well as well.
Thankfully, I haven't had any M/S and the queasy feelings went away during week 5. Best of luck to you all!!!

Oooo, now I want some PBJ! Yum!
Whenever I'm up for lunch, I usually just eat whatever's in the school cafeteria. Today it was Pizza, corn and broccoli. If not... saltines it is! I'm usually OK by lunchtime, though.
