Chronic back pain?

My lower back is always hurting. So much that it makes me nauseated pretty much all the time. I have tried massage (temporarily relief), chiropractor (again not much relief), acupuncture (temporarily relief) and aromatherapy..Nothing seems to work. I have had to live with it but not sure if anyone else has seen someone or suggestions on what to do? Do I just go to my GP and ask her?

Re: Chronic back pain?

  • See if your GP will refer you to a back specialists. I had to see one when I was in HS. The specialists sent me to a physical therapist and they did wonders for my back. You might need surgery but seeing a physical therapist for a few months might help you heal instead of surgery.

  • Have you tried physical therapy yet?  That often helps a lot.  And the therapists can teach you the exercises so that you can do them on your own rather than having to actually go to physical therapy 3 times a week.

  • Mrs.Rosie-I wear supports in my shoes and then specially made under tanks that also brace my lower back.

I have done physical therapy and it does help when I am in it unfortunately my insurance only pays for so many sessions. :-( and the thought of back surgery and 2 kids under 3 makes me want to cry. I guess it's back to the drawing board thanks you guys.
