Is it possible for baby acne to be too bad? DS's is so bad and on his shoulders too!

There's nothing you can do, just wait it out. It's hormonal and will take care of itself within the next few weeks.

DS's was SO bad. It was oily and all over his face, neck, shoulders, head, everywhere. It cleared up eventually.

I alternated Aveeno lotion and Aquaphor and DD's infant acne cleared in a few days. It seems that dry skin is the culprit for DD.

Just a thought but are you sure it's baby acne? DS's "baby acne" was horrible like that, and it ended up being a milk and soy allergy. It cleared right up when we switched to the hypo allergenic formula.

you could try cutting dairy from your diet to see if it helps. It might be an allergy, but I'm obviously not a doctor.

My ds's acne is helped a lot by aveeno baby wash (b/c it is oatmeal based) and cetaphil lotion (very gentle and hypoallergenic) so it isn't very dry.
