xp: lets try this again (long-ish)

I totally posted this on 2nd tri when I meant to post it here

So I started an update last week, but I was at work and someone came behind my desk so I quickly closed the page before I finished lol. Oh well. I suppose there hasn't been anything too exciting going on the last few weeks. I'm feeling pretty good except that it's starting to get harder to breathe sometimes, harder to put on shoe/socks and shave, sex is slightly awkward, and I think I smell funny all the time lol. But other than that I really have no major complaints, nothing scary has happened (thankfully!), and my energy level is still pretty good. I like this "cute" stage of pregnancy, so I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can before it gets too uncomfortable!

I don't know if I mentioned anything about it in the past, but my mom was having a hard time handling the thought of me having a child/her being a grandma, etc. She was always very negative and never liked to talk to me about anything except for what I was going to do with my life now. She loves to micromanage and it was putting a strain on our relationship. But things have gotten a lot better after a very long talk and lecture from me (for once!). So now she's getting more excited and wants to plan the baby shower with my friend.

We are also starting to get materials ready to rennovate our bedroom, which will also be the baby's room. It's a huge room so there's plenty of space, but we need to insulate one of the walls, put up some drywall, lay down carpet and paint. I can't wait to have it done! I'm feeling ansy because I want to nest and can't do it yet! But hopefully soon...

Hm... and lastly, we had our official anatomy scan at the last appt. a couple weeks ago. LO was measuring absolutely perfect and he weighed 1.1 lbs But then I wondered where the other 15 lbs came from and decided that at least half of that was in my boobs. So I guess I'm going alright lol. I hope everyone is doing well and feeling good!

Anyone have any plans for Halloween weekend next week? I might go to a community Halloween party at the arts center where my mom is helping out. SO's hobby is bowling, so my idea was that he could go as a bowler (with one of those old style polyester bowling shirts)..... and I would go as the bowling ball Genius, right?

First I'm glad everything is going so well! I am in the same boat, so far this has been a really good experince.. Other than body achs I'm having lately! Second I wanted to tell you that your pup is super cute! We have a red boxer/pit mix.. Best dog I've ever had!

Aw thanks I LOVE my dog! Well, actually he's mom and stepdad's dog, but he was mine too when I lived there and he's still my buddy! He's an Am Staff, and he is the best! It's funny bc he looks like he could be intimidating but he's the biggest, sweetest chicken ever!

I noticed the pic of your dog too! So cute, we have an all white pit with just a little less black around the nose than yours does! He also is Am Staff and such a big baby! Not a puppy anymore, seven years old now and so gentle with DD. His bark is much scarier than he ever could be. The reminds me that he really needs a bath right now. Of course my preggo nose probably makes his smell seem worse than it actually is. But I really don't like dog smell in the house!
