In the past 2 weeks LO has gone from babbling to all-out talking. He's got probably 20 words and has started saying "good girl" to the dog, "all done" when he's done eating, and says "bye-bye" when I'm on my cell phone wrapping up a conversation. Can he hear the inflection in my voice? It's so strange! What are your 15-16 month olds "talking about"?
Re: Let's talk vocabulary
LOL-singing to Lady Gaga and touchdown are super cute! I love their little personalities.
DD's newest thing is shaking her finger at the dog and telling her "no, no" Cracks me up (especially when the poor dog is just taking a nap). She also has started trying to sing the ABCs along with us and when we read her favorite book she'll do some of the repetitive parts with us.

DS is also being raised bilingually. His English words are: hi, bye, owe, mommy, daddy, baby, ball, no, pee-pee, shoe, apple, banana, peach, nose, book, water, pasta, cookie, and Elmo. His Spanish words are: mama, papi, si (yes), mas (more), bebe (baby), nino (boy), nena (girl), and agua (water).
Jack is turning 15 months tomorrow and I'm hoping he has a vocabulary explosion soon because as much as I am trying to not freak out, he doesn't talk....at all. He babbles and will say bababa, mamama, dadada but not in correlation with anything.
::repeating to myself "he will talk when he's ready, he will talk when he's ready" over and over::
DD talks a lot. She started pretty early and now (just turned 15 months) she repeats everything. No joke. every.single.thing.
She is into saying " I love you" and that just melts my heart. We go back and forth saying " I love you", "no,I love you!", "no! I love you!"...it's too cute.
Go Phils!!
My DS says, up, down, moon, juice, light, more, mama, dada, uh-oh, all done, and just started saying hello when you put a phone up to his ear.
He's not.
He has long drawn out babble conversations but no real words.
Another big babbler here.
The only clear ones we have: momma, daddy, babu (her word for dog - long story), hi, and baby. We're trying really hard for brains so she can say it in her zombie outfit for next weekend, thus far she says, "braiiiiiiis".
She's thrown in a few mumbled others and tries to imitate more as of late.
DS really likes the word bath right now. If he sees anyone without all their clothes on (for instance, a siggy pic of a baby in a diaper, beach photos, etc) he says "bath" and does the sign for it. It's cute
If DH or I are in the bathroom, he says "dada bath" or "mama bath".
He is also talking a lot about dogs. Every animal is a dog. He says "dog dog dog", then "woof woof woof."
Yesterday a kid in front of us in the check-out line was singing old Macdonald, and DS came home singing "e i e i o". I couldn't believe how fast he picked it up, we never sing kids songs to him (bad parents).
