7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most? How OK I am with getting up at the crack of dawn for the day, and his smiles make it OK.

8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging? Getting enough sleep. I guess I need to force myself to go to bed earlier and just sacrifice some Me time.

Can't really think of anything we haven't used. We definitely have too many clothes though.
5. What is the one baby item that you didn't think you would need, but have found you can't live with out?
Maybe the bouncy chair -- it was a lifesaver in the beginning. I also love the bumbo but didn't think I'd use it much.
6. Do you wipe LO's bottom with a wipe even if it is just a wet diaper
Yes.
7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most?
This (being a parent) is a lot easier and a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging?
I didn't think having a c-section would bother me so much -- I hate whining about it, but I had a hard time with it. Still do.
9. Are you a SAHM or a WM?
WM -- full time attorney
10, if you are a WM, where does your LO go during the day?
Right now, my husband is in the middle of his 3-month paternity leave so he's with my husband during the day. After that, he'll go to day care.

I never pump anymore, but when I did, I think the most was like 8oz in 10 minutes. That was because I missed a feeding.

During the day I do, but not at night.

7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most?

How much I would miss being able to do things whenever I wanted and having time to myself, but how DD is so worth it!

And how much DD looks like DH. Based on our 3D U/S, I totally thought she was going to look like me, lol.

8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging?

The sleep deprivation, for sure!

When I am home or out and about I make them as I need them (except for the one early morning bootle I have prepared to warm up while still half asleep at 6 AM). When I am leaving her with someone (except for my mom, MIL, or aunt) I premake all of her bottles so they do not have to.

4. What the one baby item you thought you would totally need, but have found you didn't need at all? I do not thinkk there is anything I thought I would absolutely need and have not used.

5. What is the one baby item that you didn't think you would need, but have found you can't live with out? I thought the wind up musical giraffe my DW bought LO for Christmas last year (yes a present before she was even born) was silly but I have found I just wind it up and walk away at night or nap time and she passes out...

6. Do you wipe LO's bottom with a wipe even if it is just a wet diaper Absolutely

7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most? That I am not as much of a control freak as I was before baby.

8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging? Getting out of the house on time!

10, if you are a WM, where does your LO go during the day? Depends on the day: our friend who lives around the corner, my mom, DW's aunt, and my BFF from HS. We only need a sitter 4 days a week and we have been able to work it out so far.

4. What's the one baby item you thought you would totally need, but have found you didn't need at all? I can't think of anything, but there wasn't much that I thought I "needed".

5. What is the one baby item that you didn't think you would need, but have found you can't live with out? Pacifiers!

6. Do you wipe LO's bottom with a wipe even if it is just a wet diaper? No. Only if there's poop.

7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most? How difficult the first 2 months were. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but damn. No one warned me. DH's answer to this one is "that babies fart A LOT"

8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging? Finding enough ways to keep DS entertained. He gets bored, and I only have so many tricks.

1. Formula feed 2. As needed 4. Bottle warmer... I had very low supply so we had to supplement when LO got home from the hospital, so it was never needed 5. Umm... Can't think of anything 6. Yep, if it's in a wet diaper ( or dirty), I wipe it. 7. How I don't worry about how I look everyday. .. As long as LO is clean, dressed nicely, and happy, I'm happy! 8. Dealing with others holding LO. And not saying anything when someone does something with LO that annoys me ( within reason). Like that cutsy baby voice Ppl use, how they always have to repeat things twice ( like that's going to make the baby understand), and saying I know when the baby iscrying ( well if you know then fix it, danm it!) 9. Go back to work next week:( 10. Daycare... The first time I will have left LO since he has been born! Question: is there anything OCD or always adamant about doing with LO? I change his diaper at least every 1.5 hours and once he is clean from a dirty diaper, I always use one more wipe to make sure!

The ultimate crib sheet, I had heard such good things about it and never needed it (or any of the surplus of linens) and the boppy, I rarely used it and could have done without.5. The playmat, I didn't register for it, it was just given, I wouldn't be able to eat without it!6. Do you wipe LO's bottom with a wipe even if it is just a wet diaper? No.7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most? How much of a personality my baby would have so early. I LOVE it and can't believe how much I love her.
8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging? Sleep, I was a fantastic sleeper, DH didn't sleep at all as a baby. But I'm stunned that I can't get DD to nap or sleep at night. It is my biggest let down and I feel like a failure of a mother.9. Are you a SAHM or a WM? Edit: I DON'T use the positioner or bath seat...

I am surprised that I do like the infant carrier we have. I thought I would hate wearing LO after she was born, but II prefer it for quick trips or to avoid people from baby passing. Plus she's just so cuddly!

7. What is the one thing that has surprised you the most? How much I could love my LO; how I am okay with the weight I gained and how it hasn't all just gone away, but I'm losing it the healthy way.

8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging? Eating. LO hates when I eat and screams bloody murder until she is up with us...doesn't mind when DH eats...

I rarely pump, and usually get something like 3 ounces.

Nothing actually. We've used everything. Well maybe the bumbo. He grew out of it too fast. And everything we haven't used, I'm sure will have a use one day.

Bouncy seat. And boppy. And the swing.

Never.

How much one child can scream.

Entertaining him constantly any time he's awake. I don't get as much 'me' time as I thought I might.

For us it is the swing. LO just doesn't like it that much. Maybe he will when he like it as he gets older

I think I underestimated the need for burp cloths. I had like 5 and man we go through them fast!

Nope! Well sometimes, but not every time!

That my LO actually is sleeping more than 2 hours at a time. That first month, I never believed it would happen!
8. What is the one thing that you have found to be the most challenging?
TIME! I used to work out a lot and now I can barely squeeze a 45 min run in on the evenings. By the time I get home, hang with LO and DH for half an hour, go running, make dinner, shower, wash bottles, make lunches for the next day, etc. It is time to go to bed! I need a few more hours in each day!

My MIL comes to our house to babysit. We are blessed!
