Who here is a fan of one team, and DH is a fan of a different team? How are you getting LO involved? Do you have an idea on how they can choose their own team or are they automatically going to be wearing your teams colors?

DH and I have decided that once she starts crawling we're going to put down 3 footballs. One will have the Vikings on it (his team), one will have Dallas on it (my team), and then there will be a random third team in the mix (probably the Seahawks as both my Dad and Step dad are fans). Whichever football she crawls to the most out of 10 times, that's her team. lol Anyone else doing anything just as crazy?

I'm a vikings fan, DH is a packers fan (so tonite is a fun nite in our house!) Don't think we'll do anything that crazy....but it's not a bad idea! I'm sure she'll decide on her own one day! Until then we'll just fight over which team outfit she wears

LOL! This is too funny! I can't help you decide. DH and I are both Saints fans and Alabama fans so his fate is decided.

lol. I thought we were the only ones. But we both like the Skins but we are a house divided when it comes to baseball. He loves the Yankees and I love the Red Sox, so we are doing the exact same thing as you but with hats. Hopefully he'll go for the Sox, since the hat is red.

We decided to not dress LO in our favorite teams because it would just turn into a big competition. I am a Vikings Fan and DH is a Bears fan. Since we live in MA we decided she can only wear Patriots stuff for now that way it's neutral for us! I do like the football idea, that is really cute.

No division in this house. We're Lions fans. Of course when he gets bigger he may just rebel and choose another team. Provided, of course, that they continue on their lackluster path.

For college it's Michigan State all the way. He doesn't have a choice! Stick out tongue

That's a cute idea. I'm a Brett Favre fan. So whatever team he was on is what my kids would wear. Green Bay is my favorite team though. Guess because he was there so long.

I'm torn between sleeping (which I need) or watching the game.

DH and I are both NFL and NASCAR fans. We worked it out where I chose which NFL team LO will follow and he chose which Driver she will follow. This way we each have a sport to cheer on with her.

I'm a Chiefs fan married to a Broncos fan. Because we live in Colorado, my attempts at raising Chiefs fans have been stifled. I let her wear a Bronco bib during games, but that's as far as I'm letting it go.

Dh is a dallas fan and I am a chargers fan. So far MIL has been getting us one of each as far as onsies etc. It's still a competition...but fun! We will have to see which one he likes when he gets older...until then I dress him so I try to put him in chargers stuff lol! Good idea though on the footballs!

lol, I live in Louisiana so obviously Saints and LSU...my sister who is his godmother works at U of A in Tuscaloosa so I'm sure I'll be getting some Alabama gear soon :P I root for LSU first then Alabama.

After the Saints, I'm a Redskins fan (a McNabb fan so I followed him from the Eagles). My husband is a fan of too many teams to mention but probably loves the Giants best (which was alot of fun when I was an Eagles fan...gotta love rivalry). I'm guessing whoever dresses him will get to pick

I'm an Eagles fan, DH is Giants. It's a friendly rivalry and we root for each other's team unless we're playing each other. We joked about having C crawl towards whichever jersey he preferred to have him choose. But the reality is I live in upstate NY where they rarely play games, C will probably just know the Giants better because he'll see them more. We'll have both teams' apparel for him until he really decides what team he wants to follow (unless it's New England or Dallas, then he's grounded for life, lol).

Our house is a constant sports battle because DH is a Miami Dolphins fan and I'm a Carolina Panther fan, but I really don't care which NFL team DD will like but she better be a DUKE fan!! (DH is a UNC fan...talk about rivalry!!)

Me: Giants, Him: Eagles so our house is really contentious during football season. She has an Eagles onesie and the first (and only) time she wore it she had a BM that spilled onto DH...I think her decision is obvious.

I am a Ravens fan, and DH grew up in OH and is a Browns fan. Its especially tricky, since we are two of the four teams in the same division. DH says he is ok with DD being a Ravens fan since we live here in Baltimore, but I think she can just cheer for both teams! She has outfits for both teams. When our teams played each other a few weeks ago, she wore Browns stuff so daddy had someone to cheer with in a city of Ravens fans

that's a fun idea!

We're both Colts fans, and we're both Purdue fans (we actually met there). We also root for the Saints (maybe even more than the Colts) because of Drew Brees. He was the QB @ Purdue when during our freshman and sophomore years and we both looooooove him. There's no real division here, except for I grew up a UK Wildcat fan and he isn't. But he doesn't care if I put UK gear on the kids.
