I am so so confused! I took a PG test two days ago with second morning urine, at a glance it was negative. So I come back (I know- bad idea) and an hour later it is positive- with a light blue line.
So that day I buy more tests, the one I take that evening turns light positive in 30 minutes, the next morning I get a light positive in 20.
I know about evaporation lines and I shouldnt read the test after 10 minutes- but come on! This happened three times in a row, all clear light blue (not gray) lines. This has not happened before. I took a pink dye test tonight with somewhat dilute evening urine- bfn.
I am 16 dpo, no AF, having light brownish and some pink spotting mixed with CM, extremely hungry, and still running high BBT.
What do you guys think??? This is driving me nuts!
Re: What is going on... BFP?
Why don't you just take a test with FMU and follow the directions?
Read the directions on the box.
If you can't do that:
1. Use a pink dye test
2. use first morning urine
3. throw away the test after the time limit, and DO NOT look back.
P.S.
If it's positive... please proceed straight to 1st tri! GL!
If you know about evaporation lines, why are you reading tests after 10 minutes? You're also using blue tests, notorious for inaccurate results.
I think AF is coming. Go buy some tampons.

My Blog!
They are called 'directions' because they give you direction in how to use the product. If reading the test within the time frame was just a suggestion, they would be called Suggestions and not directions.
Pee on Stick, read in time frame, throw away. It is not rocket science.
FYI my positive showed in about 30 seconds, not 30 minutes.

Agreed!
I am scheduled for an HSG tomorrow (which I may have to reschedule due to late period) because I am having trouble TTC. This is my first missed period with high temps- I was just looking for others who have been through a similar situation or honest input.
No need to be harsh or negative- that isn't good for anyone.
Hey again
Those sorts of tests (HSG and SHG) are supposed to be done around day 7-10 of your cycle for a few reasons. Did you set the appointment by projecting when that would be in your cycle? So your doctor may postpone it anyway. At the very least insist on a beta before going through with it.
Surely not for the baby. Go to lala land then where it is rainbows, unicorns and butterflies.
In here we do not have magic 8 balls, crystal balls or ute goggles....
Well, we didn't tell you what you wanted.... let me fix that.
You are pregnant!! Congrats!! Pregnancy tests are totally wrong anyway... better get some sleep momma... your body has a lot of work to do!
Not trying to flame you or anything, but that is one massive pic of your dog.
p.s. it is cute though!
DS#1- Born August 2011
My OB said I can do my HSG anytime between days 1 through 8. The receptionist at the radiology department said it is normally done while women are on their periods.
Although I am having trouble TTC, my cycles are very regular. I figured I would be on CD2 by Monday. It is looking like I am going to have to reschedule in the morning : (.
I am just so thrown off. I know not to read the tests after 10 mins- I should take my own advice! It is just so strange because I have NEVER has that happen- and 3 times in a row?! AND late period?!
I am going to keep my fingers crossed my temp stays high and AF dosent show- like everyone else on this board : )!
Sorry I am not as experienced with PG tests as all of you are. I was just looking for honest input that is compassionate. There is a way to be compassionate to someone without telling them what they "want to hear". I am not sure what is up with the sarcasm and all of that- would you talk like that face to face? Or is it ok to talk that way because we are online? Please don't forget I am a woman too, just like you, looking for advice from those who may have more experience then myself : )
If you have your mind set that there is no way that a NEGATIVE means NOT PREGNANT... then don't ask us for our advice. Just a suggestion...
Yes, I would have said the same thing to your face AND you would have gotten the visual of me rolling my eyes. I hope you get a VALID positive pregnancy test soon. Also, you have POAS more times this cycle (based on your post) that I have in my ENTIRE life, but I read the directions when I did it.

We all just want some P&R
My OB told me to schedule my HSG for cd 8, 9 , or 10. To definitely wait until after my period stopped. Either way, if you think you are pregnant definitely cancel the HSG. Good luck!
You are right, calling people b*tches and evil comes off far less grouchy and certainly more classy. Thanks for sharing.

Wow. :O
BAHAHAHAHAHA... we aren't evil... maybe honest.
I hope you get the answer you are looking for. Maybe when you call your MD in the am they and order you some blood work. good luck.
This is so strange- I have heard this from multiple people now. My OB specifically said anytime between days 1-8 of my cycle. I called the radiology department of my medical group (which is very large and has a good reputation). I spoke with the receptionist who said the procedure should be done "while on my period". I thought this was strange (and uncomfortable!) so I double checked with her and she reassured me.
I am not familliar with the procedure. I will talk to the receptionist about this tomorrow morning. My hope was to get it done before/on CD4- so I can begin Clomid this cycle on CD5.
Thank you for pointing this out!
