Sex after D&C.....maybe tmi

Well, Im feeling really bad and guilty.....I know we were supposed to wait 2 weeks before having sex, but we made it 9 days. Anyone else not follow drs orders?

 

I feel so horrible :(

    I waited 2 weeks...and it was hard....the reason why they tell you to wait is to avoid getting an infection. 

    BFP#1: 7/14/10.  EDD: 3/19/11--MMC-- D&C 9/2/10.

    To be honest, I can't imagine wanting my husband to touch me anywhere down there for a long while...but I just had mine last night :(
    Missed Abortion (miscarriage) at 14 wks 4 d, baby measured at 12 weeks. Passed fetus at home and followed up with D&C on 10.24.10 BFP 6/25/11, Sophie born 3/7/12! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I waited 13 days. It was definitely hard, but it is important to give your body that time to heal after a D&C. However, I think that it is unlikely that you did any damage. Apparently, some doctors say it's ok to have sex once you aren't bleeding anymore. There are no black and white answers to these kinds of things. What is done is done, so enjoy it and be on the look out for scary symptoms- return of bleeding, funny discharge, or fever. Good luck!

    We were told to wait a MONTH!!  We waited 13 days.  No, I didn't feel guilty, b/c it felt so good Devil

    My hospital paperwork said 6 weeks. When I had my follow up appointment at 12 days post D&C, my doc said we were find, and were fine once I stopped bleeding, which was at 4 days post D&C.

    Thanks ladies!

     I feel better now.....and Jen, yes, it felt really good Devil.  My poor DH was trying so hard to wait and being patient.  I guess we are just trying to get things back to normal and honestly, I was tired of the "other" sex methods!

     My bleeding stopped a couple days ago and I will definitely keep an eye out for any infections.

    I just posted something similar on "The Nest".  I got married 2 days ago...9 days after my D&C.  We had to "consumate" the marriage!  I was not bleeding and we used condoms because I read somewhere about infection and to use a condom.  I doctor never told me how long to wait. 


    Did you feel any pain in your uterus?  I didn't the first time but about the 3rd time we had sex, it was painful and I saw a little bit of pinkish discharge on the condom.  We tried a certain position (doggy style) and I had to stop because of the pressure.  (This very well could be TMI but I thought I would put it all out there...)

    I totally agree with you.  Mine was a week ago and I'm still feeling that way.  I think I need more time.

    Everyone heals at a different pace both emotionally and physically.  Give yourselves time.  As for me, I just wanted to get things back to normal as possible.  This is a sh!tty thing to have to go through.

    This. Mine was on the 18th, and I'm already completely turned on again by my husband. But, since I'm still bleeding lightly, we'll be waiting. Our doc said 1 week on the release papers from the hospital, but his nurse had told us 2 weeks. So, we'll probably be waiting the full 2 weeks (mostly due to my bleeding). But man oh man I can't wait to get at least that part back to normal :)

    My 2 weeks is officially up tomorrow! Now I can ride the joystick with no guilt! I havent had any bleeding for a week and the cramping is gone. WOOHOO!!!
