I am changing doctors and have an appoitment with Dr. Weitz this week since I am high risk. I just wanted any feedback on this docotr, good and/or bad. Thank you so much
I love her. I was not high risk and she was not there to deliver DS. With that said I really liked her for the rest of my Pregnancy. She was highly recommended to me from a friend that had a super high risk pregnancy. If you want someone to coddle you she is not the one for you. If you like someone to be spunky and blunt she is for you. Don't get me wrong she is compassionate when necessary but on a day to day basis she is blunt in a calming way. If that makes sense.
I saw her for my first PG which was high risk and she is amazing. If you have a high risk PG, she is the one to go to. She is so, so smart and 100% knows what she is doing. I give her credit from getting me from 29 week with my twins to 32 weeks (which is HUGE in terms in neonatal development and NICU time). Like the previous post said, she is not going to coddle you and is going to say it like it is. Some people are bothered by that, but it never bothered me. If I was high risk again, I would see her in an instant.
I agree with PP by Mom, but I would also add that as great as she is she is SUPER busy. When I saw her a couple of years ago, I wasn't high risk she was just my normal OBGYN, that she was always soooo busy my appointments were NEVER on time. It got to be really frustrating. I never really felt rushed per se, but waiting an hour or an hour and half for every appointment even when I was on time (or even early) was so annoying. I switched this time to see Dr. Cyzechi (sp?) in the same office. She is good but in very high demand.
She also didn't deliver my baby and I saw her once post delivery.

I wasn't high risk, but I saw her during my pregnancy. I never waited longer than 10ish minutes to be seen, and I really liked Dr. Weitz -- very straight forward, no nonsense, reassuring. I had a routine pregnancy but felt like if something was abnormal, she'd be the one I'd want taking care of me and the baby. GL !

I will continue seeing her.
