Re: Glider/Rocking Chair?
I am looking for the same. I have been totally scared off buying one online by all of the negative reviews I have found on every site. But - looking in local stores has yielded zero results.
I am ready to go for one online, but would love to hear some positives. I'm hoping to find something decent for $200 or less (with ottoman).
Please, bumpies who already have gliders - share your experience! I am 36 weeks and in a hurry to complete our nursery.

We have this Shermag glider from BRU, although it didn't come with an ottoman. With a 20% off coupon, it was just under $300. We sat in probably every chair in our price range and this one was the most comfortable, AND it fit both me and my 6'4" DH comfortably. Having a nice wide seat is important for nursing, I've found!
We skipped the fancy ottoman, I have a cheap storage one from Walmart. I considered a nursing stool, too, which would have been fine.
You can also look at the clearance section of baby stores, or look on Craigslist.

We got ours from Craigslist for DS for $30!
I picked out new fabric and my MIL reupholstered the cushions. In total I think it was a $45 investment and it's worked great for us. Planning on reupholstering with new fabric for #2, just to match their nursery.
This was one item that we totally splurged on and I'm in love with my new chair! It is the best peice of furniture in the whole house. This chair was the only expensive thing that I have bought during this pregnancy, bc I'm so uncomfortable now and long to be comfortable someday, in the near future!
I'm totally a broke, budget shopper and 90% of our furniture is hand-me-down stuff from our families, and I know everyone wants to save $ and get those affordable gliders from Babies R Us, but I had one when I was in school and seriously, it hurt my butt and lower back if I sat in it very long, bc the padding is so thin. I gave it away bc it just wasn't that great of a chair and my husband was trying to get me to get it back. I ordered a glider/rocker/recliner/swivel chair from Peek-A-Boo Baby. The website with the chairs they carry is: bestchairs.com It was like $700 but seriously, it is the most comfortable chair ever and it does everything. Mine is chocolate microfiber, so it wipes clean with water.
