What do you girl's do? I have a wedding Friday. I will be home late and probably wont want to pump but will have to feed lo in the middle of the night. I have not had a drink yet. If I only have a couple to I still have to pump and dump? Not sure what to do? I don't have a stash of pumped milk, I am getting some for my mom to feed her while I am gone but probably wont have enough for me to give her after.
Re: Drinking alcohol and breast feeding
My understanding is that if you're sober enough to drive, you're sober enough to nurse. You won't have to pump and dump, that's apparently an old wives' tale. If you haven't drank at all since you had the baby chances are you won't really want more than a drink or two (my tolerance is nil since I gave birth in August) so you'll be fine. If you do end up drinking more than that, and don't feel 100% when you get home, you can pump and leave it out for a few hours and it'll metabolize the alcohol without you having to dump it.
Edit: I can't confirm this, so please disregard.

Really? I never knew that.
P.S Not trying to be snarky, just curious?

I wish I could remember who told me this recently, it was in a post...to be honest I wasn't sure about it either.
I do know the sober to drive rule applies though...https://www.kellymom.com/health/lifestyle/alcohol.html

Not at all snarky, now that I think about it I'm wondering if its true. Dr. Google has not confirmed.

This
Pumped milk does NOT metabolize alcohol. So you can't pump, leave it out, and then feed it to baby thinking it won't have alcohol in it.
But I regularly have a single beer at night and I don't have any qualms about nursing DS afterwards.
