I'm a new woman

I've now had 2 nights of more than 5 hours of sleep, and all in one piece, not chopped up into 2 or 3 chunks.  It's amazing! And Ferbering has been so much less painful and traumatic that I expected.

Night 1 of Ferber was not too bad, I guess you could say we are doing Ferber Lite.  She woke once, was up 2 hr, but only cried the 1st hour, sat in her crib falling asleep the second hour.  We went in every 2-3 minutes to keep her from getting too worked up, and spent another 2-3 min with her each time we went it.  I think that made a huge difference.

Last night she slept 7 hr straight!!!!!!  Got up at 3am ready to go since she normally only gets about 7 hr sleep, but all chopped up.  She barely cried, just sat looking around in her crib, got up and cried off and on and was back asleep in 2 1/2 hrs, then slept till 8!!!

This is the most sleep I've gotten in, um, I can't even remember.  Add to that I didn't cosleep at all for two nights, I woke up for the first time in 6 months without my back aching.  Now the real test is if we can see improvement past night 4, since that has been our point where we plateau all the other times we've tried this.
