Lefty won't cough up the milk

It's full, but it will not come out for the pump. Grr! I just took a hot shower, massaged it, it's like it knows that LO is here and wants only that! Sigh! Too bad DS is full from the other side! Any suggestions?

    Can you put him on just long enough to get a let down, then put the pump on? 

    I don't know about Jones, but even if Caroline is full, she'll still nurse at least for a minute or two if I put her on the other side.

    Can you try to pump IN the shower? Not bringing the whole unit in but just the flange & tube?

    I heard someplace (maybe here) that using something that smells like your child when you pump should help. Like sniffing their blanket or something will help you let down. Good Luck!

    Oh and I also meant to say that you could always pump on one side while baby is nursing on the other since that could help let down the other side too.

    Also, I microwave a diaper soaked with water and use that as a compress.
