Play kitchen recs

Wow, I have not been on here in a LONG time, I'm buying a toy kitchen for my kids for birthday/Christmas and needed some suggestions.....my boys will be 4 and my little ones will be 2, it is really going to be for my little ones but I'm sure my older 2 will want to play with it all the time as weel so I wanted to make sure that I got one that is large enough for them all to play with at the same time.  These are the 2 that are on my short list.....any suggestions would be great

  • How much space do you have? The second one looks huge!
  • Loading the player...
  • We have plenty of room for either one, I'm planning on putting it in the kitchen for now and then moving it to the playroom once they get tired of it.

  • We got the KidKraft Large kitchen-- similar to the one you posted, but pastel. I picked it because my kids are crazy tall, and it's one of the taller ones that they had.

Ditto pretty much exactly.  We've had it a year & I've been happy with it.  We had a plastic one before that but it was too short for my 6yr old--who still plays w/ a kitchen all the time.  I much prefer wood anyway (the plastic was a freebie).

  • We have the Step2 one and have been very happy with it.

  • We have a Kidcraft kitchen too and love it. It is really sturdy and I think it looks nice since I have it in my kitchen.

  • We have the Kidkraft one and my girls love it (4 and 2). My dad remarked on how well made it was while putting it together with my husband. The corners are round and there are airholes in every compartment. It's very sturdy and looks good in our family room. My older daughter is very tall for her age and it's still perfect for her. I would recommend it!
  • I have the 1st one (kidcraft).  It is much less garish in real life.  It has a boat load of storage and my kids love it.  It is super sturdy.  It takes a bit to put together.  Maybe an hour.  I would get it over the plastic one for the storage alone.  It is the only toy we have that is not kept in the kids bedrooms, so it holds all the toys in the family room.

The oven and dishwasher drawer slides in and out, which they like too.

  • We have the little tikes wooden deluxe kitchen with laundry center. It's great and sturdy. Sorry no pic.The kidcraft looks great too

  • DD got the smaller version of the Step2 one for last Christmas from her grandparents.  She loves it, but there is zero real storage (a little, but not much)...I have a 3-drawer cart thing beside it for all the accessories/food.

I think I'd go with a wooded one if we were buying one, but I don't argue with gifts. ;)
