Trying to Get Pregnant

POAS or dip it in a cup?

Just wondering which is easier/less messy.

Re: POAS or dip it in a cup?

  • I'd PIAC, but that's me.  If you get iffy results you can test again using the same sample.

  • With IC's you have to PIAC Stick out tongue

  • I use the cheapie ones that you have to PICA and use the little dropper for the test.
  • I like PIAC better - I can't pee straight to get it on the stick! LOL

  • I've done both, and I prefer PIAC method.  Less messy that way.

  • I'd prefer POAS, but I have the cheapies now so it's PIAC for me!

  • I got cheapies off Amazon. The instructions say PIAC so that's what I do.

This! When I got pg w/DD, it was on a cycle where we had been told NOT to get pregnant, so I didn't think I could possibly be pg. I POAS just to let the doc know I wasn't pg and was shocked when it was pos.  I was sooooo anxious to work up more pee b/c I thought for sure the test was faulty. Now I always PIAC, that way no matter what the result, if I need to retest, I can do it immediately.

  • I have IC which say to PIAC  - but I only had the big red solo plastic cups. So I just POAS anyway. The results were pretty clear (BFN) But if the results were iffy, I would probably PIAC and dip to be sure:)

  • I have ICs, so I PIAC. I prefer to POAS, though. It just seems easier to me.
  • I definetly prefer to PIAC!  I find it easier that way.

Ha, this is totally me. And sometimes I don't have enough urine coming out to POAS for 10 seconds, etc.
