I know this has been posted a million times but...iphone apps

since the search NEVER works, what are your favorite apps for your iphone?  DH just surprised me with a 4 (I had a Bb before) and I have no idea where to start!  There are bagillions of them!  So if you don't mind sharing, what are your faves for you and or your kids?

  • Doodlejump and peggle are my favs. If you don't mind my asking, how did your DH surprise you? I want to get DH a 4 for Xmas, but I want him to be able to use it right away. And since I'm not on his plan, I don't know how to do it.

  • Well, it was supposed to be my Christmas present but when he went to pick it up they talked him into going ahead and activating it.  He didn't realize that my Bb would no longer work until after they had already activated my iphone so he came in the door and threw the bag in my lap and said "have you tried to use your phone?"  lol.  He was afraid that I had tried to use my phone and was about to call AT&T with a few choice words (I've been having major issues with my Bb).  Not the best surprise but Merry Christmas to me!!!!

    Thanks for the app recommendations!!

ETA:  I just noticed that you said you guys are not on the same plan.  We have a family plan but my SIL got my FIL a phone for Christmas one year and he just had to call and activate it himself.  So I guess you can go ahead and give it to him and he will have to activate it.  You won't be able to change his plan or upgrade or anything though I don't think.  Most likely you will just have to buy it flat out which is what we had to do since it wasn't upgrade time yet.

  • We have lots of favorites. Treasures of Montezuma and Pocket Frogs are my two current favorites (read: the two I play obsessively). DS loves Cookie Doodle, Cake Doodle, Annamika, Elmo's Monster Maker, iWriteWords, 123 Color, Color&Draw, Preschool Connect the Dots, Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, Toy Story 3 Project Camouflage. There are more he likes a lot, but those are the ones he always comes back to.

  • My 23 mos. old loves Peekaboo Barn.
  • I like Grocery IQ. It's my grocery list that I update as needed and bring with to the store.
  • I am very addicted to Words with Friends (gotta convince a friend to download the app too for that one). And I love the All Recipes app.
