Crib bumpers as valance??

I have really cute bumpers that we never used. I was thinking it might work to use the ties to tie them to a curtain rod, and use as a valance. Is this crazy? They are pretty thick and I think they would hang straight.

sure, why not?? We have the same.. cute bumpers we never used..dunno what to do with them. Don't think they'd work as a valance though, windows aren't built to have those Sad

would you take the stuffing out before you hung them? or would they just be really puffy valances?....... Is valances even a word and if so did I spell it correctly?

We did that in Princess B's room. I cut the bumper to fit then tied it to the curtain rod with the ties that were on it. I also put shears behind. I think it came out pretty!

We used DS's bumper for a valance. We cut it to fit the window and then used the ties. We did have to cut the ties from the bottom of the bumper/valance and sew them on the top of the valance to get it to hang straight since there was so much fluff inside.
