I should probably bring something...right??

It's been 4ever since I have been out....Got invited to a little party at someones home(they sell purses, belts, organizing things).  I dont think I should show up empty handed.....Im thinking a bottle of wine or something...right??  Or is it not necessary....Thanks

  • Are they just having a party or are you going to a party where they are selling the purses, belts, etc?

If it's just a party then I would bring something but if it's a party where they are selling you the items than I wouldn't bring anything. :)

  • Did she invite you to her "selling party?"  Like you are gonna go there and she will try to get you to but a purse, etc?  If that is the case, then I say you don't need to take anything.

If you are going to a "fall party" or something just to get together then yes, I would take something.

Yes, its a party, where she would like me to buy something....I didnt explain it right.  Thx for responding.
  • Uhmmmmm hate to break it to you 424, but you are not really invited to a "party" because she wants to hang with you, but rather b/c she needs to make money and you are a target.  Don't take anything except your checkbook and a fake smile.,

or leave your check book at home and just take a few bucks in cash unless you want to get suckered into buying a ton of cheap, fake purses, wallets, sunglasses, etc that will fall apart in a few weeks.  I say this because I've been that sucker before.

and no, you don't need to bring anything to this type of party. In fact, the hostess should probably have a small spread of munchies and drinks for you!

Yep I agree, and for the record I HATE these "parties" and avoid them at all cost.
