4 mos. PP - spotting after running?

Hi ladies -

Any time I exercise I start spotting - and I'm almost 5 mos. postpartum.   I did get an IUD 7 weeks after delivering...could that be causing this?  Would you call the doc about this?

 I googled pp bleeding from exercise but it was all about 6 wks pp.

Anyone else?

    Ok, fine, I will give you a nicer answer: no its not normal, yes you should call your doctor when somethin abnormal starts happening with your body. GL.  Wink

    That has not happened to me and I've been running since about 5 weeks pp.  I've had an IUD before and didn't really spot after it was inserted so I'm not sure it could be that either.  Something might be wrong and it may be worth a call to your doctor.

    I had spotting/weird bleeding for 8 months after getting my IUD.  I think it just took my body longer to get used to it.

    But calling the Dr. is never a bad idea.

    UPDATE:  Called the doc and he was not super concerned.  Said b/c I'm breastfeeding and it happens when I exercise that it's probably my body getting used to the IUD and also the hormones from bf.
