Need help on a middle name with the first name Nathaniel.

Any suggestions. I feel like it needs to be something short like John or something. Although i can't use John because that is my DS middle name (Joseph John).

Although I like Louis my last name beging with L and I am not sure I like the sound of two name back to back with L.

However I like the suggestion Nathaniel James.

DH is Nathaniel Ryan John. Don't get me started on the two middle names. It was due to an argument over circumcision between MIL and FIL.

DS's name is Nathaniel, MN is a 2-syllable L-name (family name--too unique to post imo--NO ONE would use it if it weren't a family name!). I think it flows really well.
