    After Germany invaded Denmark in World War II, plans were made to hide the Nobel Prize medals of two scientists living in the country. Instead of hiding the medals in a place where they could be found, they were instead dissolve in aqua regia(a solution composed of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid). The solution, along with the dissolved medals was stored on a shelf along with other bottles of chemicals. After the was, the gold was precipitated out of the solution and sent back to the Nobel Foundation. 

     

    .... Just got really nerdy on you guys! haha. Seems like a solution only a scientist would find plausible...
