    OMG that's horrible! I could totally see how that would happen because most monitors are propped up on the crib and the cord is just hidden behind the crib.  If the baby grabbed it then it'd be easy access to the cord.

    My uncle stapled the cords to the wall and ceiling to prevent this from happening.  That's scary.
