Iris has a horrid case of cradle cap and I've been searching high and low for solutions to help her. I found the following advice on the web. I think I'll use it as a last resort.
My granddaughter has cradle cap and someone suggested that after changing a wet diaper that I rub the top of her head with the wet diaper allow her head to dry and then wash her hair in a hypoallergenic shampoo and rub it with a regular adult wash cloth. I tried it and it worked the cradle cap came right off.
Re: I'm all for naturopathic remedies but this is nasty...
Ha!
I loved that episode!
Every time I visit the ocean I make sure I have a little extra in the ol' tank for this very reason. True story.
ICK!
That being said, Brandon's was pretty bad... this seemed to help...

I bought it at Target.

We were told to put baby oil on it and let it sit on there for 10 minutes. Then use a comb and get as much off as possible. Then wash her head to get the oil all off. It worked really well.
Her dermatologist has also told us to use Head & Shoulders.
We were told by the pedi we could use head and shoulders. I found the best way to get it out was to rub some oil on it (olive oil, baby oil, whatever you have as long as it's not motor oil) and comb it out with a fine toothed comb.
It took K's cradle cap a long time to go away.
