Thanks to Virginny for posting our baby arrival news! Javy Nicolas arrived Sunday, October 17th at 4:16pm. My water broke shortly before 5:00am that morning and we were at the hospital a couple of hours later. My doctor started me on pitocin since I wasn't in labor on my own. Once that got started, labor went fast! I started out at 2cm, was 4cm two hours later, and was 10cm two hours after that! I pushed for 45 minutes and he was here. I ended up with the epidural and am so glad I did. It wasn't the labor I was expecting or hoping for, but I'm happy with how everything turned out.

Javy is perfect! He was 7lbs 15 oz and 21" long. We didn't care so much for the hospital stay, so we were thrilled to get home last night. Breastfeeding is going great and my milk came in early this morning. I had an episiotomy and am very sore, but getting better every day.

Yay! Congratulations Melissa! He's absolutely adorable!

The soreness from my episiotomy went away after about 4-5 days so hopefully your recovery is as face. Mine was an L shape cut and I could barely sit for those days.

Congrats again, Javy is so adorable!!! Wish you a very speedy recovery from that episiotomy...I also had one with my 1st baby and I know it can be a pain, but you will heal quickly! Take care!
