G is not really into her solid foods and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong....I usually feed her around 5:00 or so and first I BF and then we sit down and try and eat a 1/2 can of a veggie and 1/2 can of a fruit, but most times she turns her head or closes her mouth and squirms in her seat..I am wondering is she too full from the BM I just gave her? Am I feeding her, her solids too close to when I just BF her?
Advice? When do you feed solids? Right after you bottle-fed/breastfed or do you wait an hour after???
She eats it when she wants, some days better than others, so I know the foods she likes, so I know it is not about her really liking them..At least I do not think it is....
Re: Solids ?
The Super Baby Foods book reccomends feeding half of what you would normally feed her. EX if she usually eats off both boobs, only feed her one, then solids, then offer the rest of the breast after solids.
I usually feed K around 5 off the boob and then serve her solid dinner around 6. It is easier for me this way. She only eats off of one side so offering her only half a boob is too hard for me.
I also gave Caroline her solids first and then her bottle. She ate both well - both solids and BM.
ETA: That should say I always gave her solids first.

We also offerred up the solids first and then bottle. This has made weaning the bottle easier the last few weeks. We are now down to only the bedtime bottle.
