Coming out?!

So I am closing out on the first trimester, and am so thankful that I haven't got the early side effects of pregnancy at all (ex. morning sickness, nausea, extreme fatigue, weight gain..) And so far only the Doctor Office, My boss, and my husband & I know about the pregnancy. I have yet to tell my parents, his parents, our siblings, or even my very best friend. We have decided that we are going to next week but we wanted to do something interesting when we come out with the news since this baby will be our FIRST, so let me know what you think about this idea:

 

We just had some professional family pictures taken last week, and the photographer is getting the proofs to us soon, so We plan on have the Proof in a photo envelope and slipping a printed Ultrasound picture in the middle of the stack, then we are going to hand the photos over to our parents (on separate occasions) and just let the come across the ultrasound in the photos.. SURPRISE

Is that cheesy or a good idea?

    Thanks guys! I'm so nervous for some reason, but really excited to finally be able to tell someone! (Hubby has been wanting it kept secret, even from my best friend of 18 years until the 12th week!)

    Great idea! I did something similar. I bought a Grandma's brag book and put a bunch of pictures of my stepson and nephews and on the last two pages I put the ultrasound picture and a notecard that said, "Congratulations you're going to be a Grandma again!" and our due date. My sisters were there looking at it with my mom and one sister started screaming when she saw the pic! Their reactions were priceless, so I wished I had videotaped it. They were so focused on the pics they probably wouldn't have noticed if I had the camera. My heart was racing the whole time because it was very nervewracking.

    I think its a cute idea! The day we found out, we put our DS in a onsie that said "Big Brother, May 13, 2011!" and took him to my parents house.  They were thrilled.  We told my sister and some friends, but wanted to make sure everything was okay before telling everyone.  Our ultrasound today looked great, so I think we may start telling people tonight!

    That is a beautiful idea! I bet they will be so thrilled! Congrats!

    I haven't told my BFF yet, and tonight I get to tell her. Her photography business is taking off and I couldn't be happier for her. So I bought her a planner for 2011 to write her sessions in, and for the first weekend in June, I scheduled our baby session! I'm just going to tell her that I already booked one for her and have her look it up! Can't wait!
