Anyone have an ophthalmologist they can recommend?

I'm pretty sure I have conjunctivitis.  I haven't lived in Seattle for too long so I haven't found a new eye doctor yet.  I'd rather have a rec instead of just picking some random dude on my insurance website.

If you have an ophthalmologist, please recommend.  Preferably in the North Seattle/Northgate/Lake City area.

 Thanks!

  • Definitely not in the area you recommend, but I've been going to him since I was 7... I have major eye issues and he is really really great at what he does!

  • You can Go to your primary care doc for that. You don't need an eye doctor. You could even just go into a walk in clinic to get looked at. But I love my eye doctor. Lisa Bursett. She in Eastlake and I still drive over there to see her. I used to go to her dad before he retired.

I haven't found a primary doc yet either.  I just have my OB.  I know you *can* go to a primary doc for eye problems but I used to work for an ophthalmology practice for several years and I know it's much better to be seen by an ophthalmologist for any issues involving the health of your eye.

Thank you both for the recs!  I'll check to see if either are on my health insurance.
