I have a really sore throat and a mild fever. Would you call the doctor for it or tough it out? I'm worried that it might be strep but all of my online research says that strep will go away on its own in 3-7 days without antibiotics.

Re: Sore throat would you call the doctor?
Hey - I paged you on May 11. Its on the second page now.
Personally, I'd probably hold off and see how it progresses, as long as your fever isn't over 100, that is.
Hope you feel better

I missed the page. I don't have internet access at work, but today I'm off. I'm glad you like the siggy. DS loves camping because there is so much to explore./ We actually started camping with him at 3 weeks. We just brought the pnp and put it in our tent. We are up north of Albany by Saratoga.

Very cool! I know so many parents that stopped doing just about everything they used to do before they had children. Lame
Camping would definitely be one of those things too.
Cool - I'm about an hour south of Albany. We usually camp along the Sacandaga/Lake George-ish.

If you are really concerned about strep I would call your doctor. Strep is easy to treat and can cause some bad things long term (for you, I don't know of any effects on your baby).
Very cool. I'm going to remember you for when I start this camping adventure with our LO. You'll be my go-to-lady for info

Yup, and I don't think it will go away on its own. I once had a case of strep that I let go, (it was summer vacation, and I wanted to hang out with my friends. lol) and the sores from my throat spread to my mouth, and I got very ill.
Also, the some forms of the strep bacteria can cause scarlet fever.

IDK about the throat, but, about the camping...
have you guys seen this?

Do you think the size, etc. makes it worth paying that much more than buying a Pack N Play?
I personally don't think its worth the money. If you are looking for something more portable - once DS got bigger (about 9 months) we started using this (a peapod).

Thanks!
We like to travel and camp, so, it's good to know what to buy.
