If you've taken blessed thistle and/or fenugreek

Did it upset yours stomach? I don't want to stop the herbs because I am (finally) noticing a difference, but I am wondering if it's that or something else.

Re: If you've taken blessed thistle and/or fenugreek

  • When I took fenugreek by itself, it gave me tons of gas.  Taking the blessed thistle also seemed to counteract the gas.  How long have you been taking it?  It takes a bit to build up in your system and for you to get used to it.

  • you are suposed to eat something when you take it.  I hope that helps.

I've been taking the fenugreek for about a month, but just added the blessed thistle and upped how much fenugreek I was taking.

  • Give it a few days and it should even out for you.
  • To say it upset my stomach would be an understatement.  I am gassy to begin with but it made it UNREAL.  However I was going to stick it out because I needed the pills to increase my supply.  After a few weeks my stomach got used to it and was back to normal.

  • I don't remember it giving me gas, but I definitely smelled like syrup.
  • I always took the fenugreek when I was either eating a meal or eating a snack. It never upset my stomach, but then again, I never took it on an empty stomach.

It did make me smell like maple syrup was leaking out of my pores....
