FF-serving size?

How many oz are your LOs eating? Aidan will be 6 weeks tomorrow, and we just transitioned to formula. A is only eating his BM serving sizes on the same schedule (2-3 oz every 2 hours like clockwork). He has no desire to eat more, in fact getting him to take even 2-3 oz is a struggle sometimes. I realize it's only been a day, and we are approaching the dreaded 6 week g/s. Maybe it's just an issue of his tummy needing to stretch out or maybe it will correct itself over this next week? Oh, I should also mention we're boosting each bottle of formula with 1 tsp rice cereal to treat AR. Maybe the cereal is filling him up? He still gets hungry every 2 hours though.

 

Thoughts?

    i'm not really sure about the cereal aspect but when we switched our little man to formula the dr told us to start him at 4 oz every 3 hours unless he wants more even though he was getting 5 oz of bm every 2.5 hrs before.  she said that the formula is thicker and harder for babies to break down so it doesn't take as much to fill him up.

    Ditto pp. Formula is thicker and they are fuller for longer. GL! My DS takes 3 oz. every 4 hours or so.

    My DS just started eating 4oz every 4hrs today! We've been on a 4hr schedule since day 1 but have moved up the oz!
