I usually think it's more like they're major lurkers who finally want to break into the bunch, so they post some big drama post to get attention/feedback. Which is all good by me.
I certainly wasn't a regular poster before...but I'm sure I had more than 100 posts. What drives me crazy is seeing the "cheating threads". I really don't put much thought into other peoples post numbers.

I have been a huge lurker for a long time, (since I found out I was expecting,) and *finally* joined....so that's why I don't have many posts. I don't think I would make anything up to get attention though!
It annoys me when anyone posts silly vents regardless of how many posts they have. I joined the knot 5 years ago when I was planning our wedding and been on the nest for the last 4 years. However, I mostly lurk since I don't like getting pulled into the endless drama. That plus the all the changes they've made to the boards over the years has caused me to have to change my screen name once and I don't know what happened with this last one, but it deleted my post count. Long story short...I look like a newbie, but I'm not. Then again I don't post silly vents either.?
On the other end of that, I think that some people spend wayyyyyyyyy to mcuh time on here with the number of posts they have! Sometimes I think I am on to much, but then I compare myself to others and I think this is all they must do and some of them already have kids!!!
I also lost alot of my posts with the swithover....
Why does it matter how many posts they have? ?Can't people post MUD's with 1000s of post too? ?And who cares anyway...this is a forum, people can talk about whatever they want. ?made up or not, its all mama drama!
Re: When I see people with one or two posts
Made Up Drama
a.they have nothing better to post.
b. they are bored.
that's what I think
I was sad when I lost my posts. I was *this close* to my first nesticle and was bumped back down to like 40 posts.

I don't get access to the nest/bump at work, and so I only can really check posts in the evening, and I hardly post on here (mostly on my local)...
But then again, I've never made a post about advice or anything very dramatic so maybe people that do, are creating MUD.
I still find it entertaining to read!

Ahem, 30,000 posts.
Way too much time here? They were gained over a 10 year period between here and the knot. So stuff it with that lame opinion.
