I just posted that we are going to India. We will be going in December/January.
I. am. freaking. out....
There are soooooo many things that could go wrong...and I KNOW I will have to fight with MIL on "It's good enough for Indian babies, it's good enough for your baby." The water is really bad, so we'll have to bring a water purifier, and my FIL is saying that they have a crib, so I don't need to bring my PnP, but I will anyway, because the crib is probably painted with lead paint or has a number of other safety issues. Do I bring the stroller? I don't think we will need the car seat (he will be 8 months by then, and the cars go about 20mph in Kolkata). I'm worried about germs, so I will bring a gallon of hand sanitizer, and disposable changing pads, and we will have to boil water to wash him in...
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Ok, freaking out...
Do you have a stroller/carseat combo? Bring that with you for sure!
I would be worried as well. But it sounds like you know exactly what to do.

My BFP Chart
We won't be traveling in the car except to and from the airport.
My DH is from Morocco and I'm worried about our first trip over, although looking forward to it too. DHs family is very well off and live well so it's not like they live in a slum or in the country where water isn't as good. Our pedi said though that we should wait until DS has had shots up to 1 year so that he's better protected.
blah blah blah no one is going to help you bc of the carseat comment.
i, for one, dont give a *** if you bring a carseat. but some of these annoying ladies do
you and I would get along so well. I can tell just by this post!
