Re: PG-Mom-TTC check in
Sorry that I haven't been around much lately, but with my maternity leave coming to an end, I've been spending my time trying to get as much done as possible around the house and spending quality time with C.
I got what I think is my first real PP period today. It's kind of funny how you hear that it generally comes around 12 weeks and C will be 12 weeks tomorrow. Talk about right on time. I'm just glad that it came this week instead of next. It's not the greatest b-day present, but thankfully now I don't have to deal with it on top of my return to work.
I hope that everyone is doing well & best of luck to our TTCers!
Not much new here...
Elizabeth is eating more and more table food each day, still no teeth, this kid has teething since 3 months- but no pearly whites yet.
Oh, and she just started playing with a baby doll which has been fun. We got her a stroller a few weeks ago so she is all about feeding her baby and pushing her around.

I had the glucose screening a few hours ago and I still feel so gross from that. Yuck! Should have results tomorrow they said which is pretty quick I think. :::fingers crossed::: She checked my cervix and everything is okay. I'm on my third yeast infection since I got pregnant. Not fun! I didn't have this trouble the first time around, but I guess things could be worse.
Caroline is getting more and more headstrong everyday. She knows what she wants and gets upset if she doesn't get it. She also continues to patrol the downstairs and tell me "uh uh oh" when I've forgotten to put the baby locks back on the cabinets that she can reach. She has snuck upstairs a couple of times and always ends up in my bathroom with the dental floss and a couple of Q-tips. She is obsessed with Q-tips!
I went through her room recently and took out all the clothes she has outgrown so that I can start sorting them for the baby. It's going to be such a PITA because I didn't keep them organized by size or anything. I'm going to have to bite the bullet one weekend and just do it I guess.
Good luck to all those TTC!

On the weekend we took A to the States. We went to Grove City, which is about 5 or 6 hours away. She did pretty good in the truck, she didn't like being put in the seat much, but we survived. When we were at the pool, we took her into the pool for the first time. She did great. My dad was with us so he video taped the whole thing. I think I will do a late Mommy Monday post since I see no one did it yesterday.
I see my doctor on Friday for my 6 week check up (it is only about 7 weeks late).
Good luck to all those TTC - - sending lots of dust!
I would like to know how the heck my name got to almost the top of the list. I'm sooooooooooooo not ready and would another 9 months please.
With that said - things are getting tight in my belly and uncomfortable with sleep. I really do miss falling and staying asleep. Met with our referral baby dr. today during my lunch break - really like him and giong to try him out when kiddo gets here. Otherwise, I have a check in next week and then my U/S scheduled for the 2nd week in November before DH goes to Aruba for vaca. I can't believe I'll be almost 36 weeks by then - time is going by way too quickly!
Good luck to all those TTC!
We are in full birthday mode! Invites sent out and now just getting the decorations and everything in order. Nathan is finally better (knock on wood) although we had a rough night tonight and he puked all over me. I"m really hoping to go one straight week without a trip to the pedi. My sanity can't take much more!
good luck to all those TTC!
Not much new here... I took the glucose test yesterday, so I hope to have those results in a day or 2. I really hope I passed. I felt so gross all day after the drink. I started making a list of all the things to do before K gets here... its starting to freak me out how fast time is going by!
I can't believe that there are only two names ahead of mine on the list. Wow, when did that happen? I do feel pregnant, and I guess a lot of my tiredness has been the anemia. The 2 extra iron supplements a day are going okay, but I'm not really feeling any less tired. I guess the anemia plus being so close to the end all blends in there together. I'm working a lot of extra hours at work too. I go this Thursday to have my 3 hour GTT test done, so fingers crossed that this one is better. If I do have GD, I guess I'll have a whole list of questions for my doctor at my next appointment, because I've already started thinking about them.
Next week is our last childbirth class, and Josh's attitude has gotten much better about it all. I asked him last night after the third class if he felt like he would be more calm and feel okay about me going into labor. His response: "I never thought I would freak out. I just know I'm going to have a hard time seeing you in pain and not be able to fix it. I don't like that." I feel like we are getting closer to each other right now, which is good because this is a big experience and life change that we are embarking on. After finding out about insurance for Kari yesterday from our insurance company, I texted him and told him how much extra it would cost to add her. He replied: "That's not bad. Its okay... she'll be worth it." THIS is the husband I've been looking for.
Good luck to everyone!
::Baby Dust:: to all those TTC!!!
Nothing new here...I'm starting to have light waves of nausea here and there- nothing too horrible so I'll take it! We're going to OH this weekend for my cousin's wedding- it will be soooo hard to see our family without talking about our new little guppie! But, our first u/s is 2 weeks from today and I can't wait to see pictures!!!
You are so lucky. There is still no sign here.
I went back to work last Tuesday because that was the day that was written in my letter when I requested maternity leave even though it wasn't 13 full weeks. Ava has made a good adjustment to daycare. Two of the teachers pulled their kids and put them in a preschool so now there are only 3 kids total. I am okay with that number and glad that there is another baby for Ava to interact with.
Ava has been rolling from her tummy to her back more consistently now and gets mad when she gets stuck on her side during the back to tummy transition.
Sleeping at night has now become a challenge since I went back to work. I think she totally senses the new routine and the lack of mommy time during the day. As a result, she is waking up every 2 hours and wants to play. This equals a not so fun teacher at school. Is anyone else having this problem.
3 month pictures were taken last Saturday at JC Penney. I would not recommend going there again.
Ava absolutely loves to babble nonstop and she has now gone from crying in the car to babbling. I will take this any day.
Now I need to run because Josh and Ava are at my side.
Nia is 2 months and 1 week old and her personality is really starting to shine. She gets really excited and smiley during diaper time especially and we've discovered that the sound of the plastic wipes packaging makes her very hyped. It's kinda funny. She panics, her eyes get really big and she starts kicking really fast! I want to take a video of it soon. She only does this on her back. If I pick her up and she hears the packaging it has no effect.
Also, we're getting to the end of the gifted disposables so we're gonna start CD soon. I'm looking forward to no/fewer blowouts.
I believe I am nearing the end of cycle 4 and headed to cycle 5. My cycles have been so off though, it's hard to tell. I bought some OPK's and used them this last cycle from day 11 to day 28 and they all came out negative. As soon as cycle 5 starts, I think I am going to call my OB and schedule an appointment to see what is going on with my body.
Had my first shower this weekend AND my first visit home since we moved to IA. Of course, there was drama, but, all in all the shower was great and I had such a good time at home. Mady is so spoiled already, I can't believe it. My family is so excited for her arrival.
This Friday is the 24 week mark and I'm so excited. V Day is really important to me.
Nothing much else here. I'll do a blog post about my shower and the drama as soon as I get to it.
Good luck to the TTCers!!!

I'm officially in the second trimester. Yay! The NT scan is Friday. One minute I'm beyond excited that DH and I get to see how little one is developing, and the next I'm terrified that we are going to get bad news. The week is definitely dragging.
Otherwise, not much to report. Good luck to everyone TTC!

Sorry I haven't been around much but things have been crazy. Last of the family just left on Sat. DH has one day of work tomorrow (training) then goes back a week from today full time. So I'm not really looking forward to making that transition because his schedule changes throughout the week but it's got to happen sooner or later. It's more of the transition into the unknown than anything that concerns me. But we'll get through it just like every parent does.
JJ is doing well. Has some diaper rash that doesn't want to go away but otherwise he's happy go lucky. Definitely wants to do things HIS way which is kind of funny to see in a baby at his age. It's almost hard for me to believe that he's 5 weeks old but time flies regardless if you're paying attention or not.
My 6 week post partum appt is next week, which I see my old doctor at her new practice so that will be interesting. Don't expect to have any complications since my c-section scar looks good. Just have lots of questions about my blood pressure, getting off of the blood pressure meds, and those sorts of things. Today my blood pressure was running really good so I'm trying to keep an eye on it and keep a record of it to take in with me to the doc to see if it influences her to get me off of those things. Worst part is with my crazy schedule (or lack of) I don't take them as reliably as I would like to which isn't helping. So I'd rather be off of them than take them incorrectly.
Best of luck to all of those TTC. Hope all of you pregnant ladies are able to sleep well and that all of the Moms out there are getting their little bits of me time this week!
