We're moving out of our rental into a house where we can paint- woohoo! I want to paint DD's room a pale tiffany blue-ish color. What accent colors would you reccomend? I'm stumped
I think it just depends on what feel you want to have. I think yellow goes really well with Tiffany blue, but if you want the room to stay a little more on the girly side, I'd say pink or lavender accents.
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
Our nursery has light mocha walls and white furniture. We have ice blue and dark brown bedding (Bananafish "Bailey"), as well as some touches of pink throughout the room. I've gotten so many compliments on how it still looks feminine but isn't "all pinked out." We went with a winter theme - polar bears and snowflakes.
Edit: Here is a pic from last month (room is rearranged a little differently now and has some more stuff on the walls, as well as the choc brown glider/recliner):
I think Tiffany blue is so pretty for girls, it's what I was going to do if our LO was a girl. Here is a link I had saved which shows a picture of one I thought was pretty:
We did tiffany blue and choc brown for our son's room. I did not feel like repainting it since we just painted it as a guest room the week before my bfp.
I was originally thinking about doing a Paris themed room with Tiffany Blue walls and black and white bedding and accents with a little red thrown in here in there.
We are going to paint "swimming pool blue" as I like to call it...
Our accents are bright colors because they pop really well against the light blue, and we wanted a gender neutral room that can grow with the baby.
I like yellow, orange, green, and RED.
Below, is my response to a post I made not too long ago. Of course the room is not painted yet, but you can see our accents and some ideas that I like. I think we will do an accent wall that has polkadots in bold colors (on the blue wall). You have to scroll down to see my pics.

Our baby's room is light blue with one really dark brown wall - regardless if it is a boy or girl - I love it!

This nursery isn't painted blue but has lots of accents in a Tiffany blue.

I think hot pink looks great! Here is what I wanted my nursery to look like, but it ended up being more pink than blue

We are doing the Hayley bedding set from PBK and painting the walls blue like in the pictures on their website.
We are using white furniture and light pink accents throughout the room (pink curtains, pink changing pad cover, etc.)

Our walls are painted Tiffany blue and we are doing black and white (maybe tossing in lime green too) I got my idea from Poshtots last year.

I painted the room blue and used pink, white, and brown as "accent" colors:
Here are all the photos of the nursery.
