We stacked magazines/books under 2 feet of the crib. Worked great Hope she feel better soon!

oh poor baby I actually was more nervous putting something under the mattress itself because I worried that there would then be a gap between the crib/mattress.. didn't test it out though..

Yeah, I had the same fear, but since I'm a nervous nelly I let my husband make the call and he thinks it's fine.
It's really sad listening to her sniffling and coughing and sneezing.
When we put something under the matress it made too bend-y. We have used 3 ring binders, phone books, picture albums, What to Expect When You're Expecting, but the best thing I've found was those plastic bed raisers. Or we'd put DS in his carseat.
we we're told by our pedi to use a pillow and not to use books because if she gets up and starts bouncing or whatever the crib could fall off the books and she could get hurt
the pillow worked wonders we actually still use it good luck
The pedi told us to either put some rolled up towels under one end of the mattress or let DD sleep in her carseat. At the time, she was just starting to move around and the towels resulted in her ending up laying against he rails on the low side of the crib...oops. Since then, we've just used the car seat. I'm not sure what we'll do when she gets too big for the carrier car seat.
I hope she feels better soon. Poor thing

We tried the pillow under the mattress again for nap and it worked! I guess it was just too new and different last night. It's pretty secure and there's no gap. DD is a very still sleeper, so I'm not too worried.
Re: Quick help needed: elevating the mattress
We have a pillow between the matress and the springs..works great. Sorry your little one is sick. We just suctioned a snotty nose too

That's what I was thinking of doing, but it made me a little nervous. We'll try it if the pillow under the mattress doesn't work.
Not that it matters at the moment since she is WIDE awake.
