i was so hoping that pregnancy "fixed" me but it appears to not be the case. my fasting numbers have been high (110-120 high). and i am going to have to start tracking my post meal numbers next week so my endo can decide how to proceed.
i am on nothing right now and was curious to see if anyone else had similar issues that were solved by taking metformin. these are higher fasting numbers than i had even during pregnancy before i was put on insulin so i am kind of bummed thinking i have full blown diabetes now.
Re: pcos with insulin resistance moms come in
I admit I don't know a ton about PCOS, but those numbers are just a teeny bit above the normal range. Are you sure this is even an issue? (like I said, I don't know)
I started met mostly just to make better eggs. But I will tell you, I no longer have those highs and lows, and my cravings and appetite has gone away. So it's doing something. Seems like a logical thing to consider taking, IMO.
fasting numbers should be below 90, so i am def well above normal. i was on met pre and during pregnancy (before i started insulin) so figure that will be our first plan of attack.
i really have like no noticeable highs and lows or cravings and i eat a modified version of my gestational diabetes diet so i am just bummed to still have these issues.
