Had my 29 week appt. today. He is measuring 1 week ahead and is 3 lbs 4 oz. He is already head down, what are the odds he will stay that way...do they often turn again...am I safe to think he will stay that way for my VBAC?

I think your chances are pretty good that he'll stay head down. I had an ultrasound at 30 weeks, and dd is head down. The ultrasound tech and my doc both told me that baby will most like stay in that position, but it is possible for them to turn....but not likely. GL with your vbac!
My LO was head down from 28 weeks, and she has stayed firmly lodged there! I think its highly likely yours will stay head down, just because I've heard they will stay that way a lot of the time, but who knows? Good luck with your VBAC, I think that's fantastic! My mom had a successful med-free VBAC (10 pound baby!), after two bad c-sections. Its very rewarding from what I hear!
DS was head down from 28wks on and stayed that way. Good luck to you!

I think there's a good chance that the baby stays head down, so it's good to remain optimistic! But, mine was head down at my 34 week appt and ended up being breech/transverse at my 36 week appt. Since then he's turned back to head down/oblique and finally vertex as of yesterday. They can keep moving in there if they really want to!
a my ob appt the other day she mentioned that she could tell my babys head was down too but i forgot to ask if he'd stay that way so thanks for asking here!! i hope he (and your lo) stay head down!
Mine was also head's down at 31 weeks, which I thought was a good thing. But when I asked my doctor, she said 'He has plenty of time to turn around' - as if I would want him to!! (I thought it was a rather weird thing for her to say).
In any case he did NOT turn, or if he did, he turned back, and at 36 weeks, he was head's down, deep into my pelvis and in the correct position.

I'm sorry to say that he could still turn...
