So this past week or so I have been having a strong aversion to meat. DH tried cooking this delcious bourbon chicken that I love, but I couldn't eat it. (He was a little disappointed) He then tried to cook burgers, also couldn't eat it. He then tried cooking pulled pork, (and I love pulled pork!) and couldn't eat it ![]()
I feel bad for DH as he has tried to cook nice meals for me all week, and I haven't been able to eat any of them. He understands that I'm just having a meat aversion right now, but he's maybe a little hurt that I haven't been able to eat his meals. He thinks it's his cooking! And with me being so extremely emotional, when he says that I get upset, then he gets upset for making me upset....
I just want this aversion to go away so I can eat a better diet than cereal, carbs and fruit...lol
Re: DH Cooking....
Last night my DH made porkchops, brussell sprouts, and sweet potatoes, all over and open fire. Yummy!
Not only did I sleep for an hour past dinner was ready, when I woke up all I wanted was rice! So then he made that too.
I was able to eat part of the porkchop, some of the sprouts, but NONE of the potato!
And about a cup and half of rice
I so TOTALLY understand the meat aversion. Chicken so turns me off and all that seems good to eat is fries. DH hates cooking, but he also doesn't make food a problem, so for the past 3 weeks we basically buy food about 80% of the time which is so not normal for me since i love to cook.
My freezer is filled with meat and i even started giving away meat since the site and smell of it totally turns me off.
I do hope that this stage passes quickly so i can resume my normal eating pattern.
