"I have to wear these hideous maternity clothes"

I'm in a meeting this morning and a co-worker of mine, *Donna* (who is due a month before I was and KNOWS I had a m/c) was in the meeting as well. 

One of my other co-workers had on an adorable shirt, and as we're all complimenting it, Donna goes, "I WISH I could could wear cute tops like that, but I have to wear these hideous maternity clothes because of this stupid pregnancy." 

I gave her one of those "you don't even know what you just wished for" looks, along with a "get over yourself" eye-roll. 

 Grrr.

    Dumb skank.

    However, out of deference for that poor, innocent LO she is carrying, I will not wish her any harm that might hurt the baby (e.g., the throat punch she deserves).

    So instead, I will wish upon her rampging dandruff, pinkeye, and a thousand tiny papercuts doused with rubbing alcohol.

    Wow - she sounds like a really great future mommy.  You should have gone with the punch in the nose...not a jury in the land would convict you.

    This stupid pregnancy huh?

    They make VERY cute maternity clothes today, she should see what they used to wear YEARS ago. tell her to shut her "pie hole" and be thankful things are running as smoothly as possible with her "stupid pregnacy".

    Ok, so that last line about shutting her pie hole wasn't nice. BUT, in my defense Those comments are so irritating.Angry

    I went to GapKids last week and discovered that they put a maternity section in.  Great. I want to wear maternity clothes (whine).
