F/U GI and a miracle

We had our GI follow up (I think we've seen 7 now?) and I love him.  He is the first one who didn't try to take our Prevacid away and in fact said to keep him on till 7 or 8 months.  Because of the hypertonia his stomach muscles are flexed a lot which makes the reflux a lot worse. He said to start rice cereal at 5 mo to help with the reflux and the solids introduction.

And the miracle...ELI HAS BEEN SLEEPING FOR OVER 3 HOURS!  The past few nights had been really bad so this is awesome!  However, I prepared to be up all night and am now wide awake while he's snoozing peacefully.

Re: F/U GI and a miracle

  • Hooray for sleep!! That's amazing. And hooray for a GI that you like and who "gets" it.

JUST so you know, rice cereal made reflux worse for my first (typical) son, so we didn't even use it for Dean. Other solids worked well and we made sure to supplement the iron he was missing in cereal. Not trying to dissuade you, just want to give you a heads-up if you notice the same thing happening!

  • Glad to hear some good news from you- you deserve it! :)
