Aren't they supposed to put that in my chart?

Went into the dentist today for a teeth cleaning. The last time I came in was for a filling. We had scheduled it for the end of my 1st Tri just to be on the safe side. So when I went in that time they asked how everything was with the pg and I told them I had miscarried.

Well apparently they didnt pass that on to my hygentist b/c she asked me today how far along I was.  Ugh.  But she was nice and said we should do X-rays this time so I will be good to go since I will probably be KU next time I come in.

    You'd think they'd pass that on!! I'm sorry.

    But they're right, you probably will be KU next time you go in. Or atleast I hope so!!

    I?m sorry Shanna, when I went to the dentist in June (like a month after my mc) they wanted to do some x-rays, so of course she asked if I was pregnant and I had to explain to her that no, I wasn?t, I just had a mc. So yes, they def. should put that in your chart. Hugs!

    Hate it when people do that, i'm sorry. I called the nurse at my Dr.'s office yesterday to get my hcg results to make sure they are going down. She said it was 107 (which was a great drop). She said "yep, it's positive!" all very excited for me. So I told her I just had a m/c and were waiting for my levels to drop to 0, and she was very sorry and felt bad.

    Ugh!  It's so unintentional, and they just don't think about the little things like that.  But, for us, it's such a kick to the stomach.  Sorry girl.

    Oh man - I'm sorry.  I went to the dentist last week (fillings that they didn't want to do when I was pg back May) and as I was paying my bill the lady asked if I had had the baby - I calmly said yes, but the baby was dead - and she just kept saying, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I was just being nosy.  I'm so so sorry."  It was miserable.  I have a cleaning scheduled for tomorrow so I'm hoping it's now in my chart and they shut the fvck up.

    I'm sorry you had to go through that..

    It seems a lot of dr offices have recently been failing to either: a) look at the chart and take note of the mc, or b) pass the word on so the proper documentation could be made in the chart (but with this step, someone would actually have to look at the chart...((gasp!))..

    Again, I'm sorry..((hugs))
