Nursing Tanks

Please recommend yours.

I still have 4-5 of the basic Glamour Mom (made for/sold by Motherhood Maternity) tanks from last time; however, they always drove me crazy because they are short waisted and I have an abnormally long torso.  Even though I hated them, I absolutely lived in them in the beginning.  That said, I'd love to find some that are (1) better quality and (2) longer waisted.

Re: Nursing Tanks

  • the motherhood ones are ridiculously short.

If you go to the glamourmom website, they do sell "long" tank tops.

  • Okay, so it's not just me.  Good.

Are you actually going to make me google for the link?  GAH!  Wink

  • I purchased all my nursing tanks from Target, and I don't think they were excessively short. (However, that may not be saying much because I'm only 5'2", so I may not have noticed an issue!) Wink

  • Bravado makes comfy nursing tanks.  Otherwise I LIVE in my long nursing tanks from Glamourmom. I ordered them all online and have 5 different colors.
  • I like the ones from Target, they aren't short.  Not sure of the brandname right off though.

  • I second Bravado.  I was very large when I was nursing (around and E) and they held me in great.  Pricy, but totally worth it IMO.

  • I used the Target ones too and they went down to my hips, but I am short-waisted.
  • I have the Gilligan and O'Malley tanks from Target.  They aren't short at all.  I'm 5'10".  I've washed and dried mine, and they are still a good length.
  • I love the ones Target carries but you're limited to a few colors. I just wear the black and white ones. I'm long in the torso too and they fit great.
  • Glamour Mom makes an elongated tank but I have two issues with them. 1) the clasp is not one-hand, and 2) while the tank fits everywhere else it totally smushes my boobs...BADLY. Like uncomfortable smush. But I still wear them when need be because they are the only long torso ones I have found so far.

  • And I second everyone else on the Gilligan and O'Malley ones from Target. I far prefer those to the Glamourmom ones even though they are not as long. I am a bit longish in the waist as well and while the Target ones are not long I wouldn't characterize them as short either.

  • Glamourmom offers great nursing bra long tanks, they offer two different styles - spaghetti straps or bra straps with clasp variation.  They tank hits below the hip, I don't have a long torso, but prefer to wear everything long so Glamourmom tanks have been a staple in my closet.

I wore the tanks by itself during the summer months and now I'm layering the tank with cardigans, scarves, jackets and other accessories. If you have worn Glamourmom nursing bra tanks before I would definitely recommend you try the longer tanks from them.
