I'm on the fence about this. My work provides a day where they do flu shots and today is it. I signed up awhile ago and now I am 3dpiui so I'm not sure if I should follow through and do it.
I'd probably skip it. I wouldn't want to have that weighing on my mind as to if it would interfer with things or not. We already stress enough over IF issues as it is, why add to it ya know? You could always get it if this cycle doesn't work before you start trying on the next cycle. Or when you get your BFP I think they recommend getting one if you are pregnant.

Mine advised getting it even when cycling. I got a thimerosal-free vaccine when I was stimming.
I didn't even think to ask when I was in on Saturday for IUI. I should have. I completely forgot about the clinic until they came around with the paperwork today. Unfortunately my RE office you have to leave a message for the nurse team to call you back so I didn't have time to contact them and ask.
I passed on the shot just to err on the side of caution. I can always get one at a later time it just wont be as convenient!

That's a drag, but better safe than sorry. Good luck with finding out what to do.
My work offers them too, but I decided to go to Walgreens in Sept and get a thim free shot. It is doubtful that your work is giving thim free and when I talked to the Walgreens pharmacist she said since we are ttc anytime in the next 6 mos that she would not give me a regular shot. Same rule applies for PG ladies and since you could technically be PG I would go look for a thim free shot. It was $29 at my Walgreens because my insurance didn't cover it.
TTC since 8/2004
Me - DX Hashimoto's Disease, Hypothyroid, Rheumatoid Arthritis
DH - DX Azoospermia - Sertoli Cell Syndrome
DS-IUI #1-4 BFN
IVF #1 - BFP! It's a boy!!!

Thanks for this info! I didn't even know there was a difference so I wouldn't have even known to ask!
I am required to get one at work (I am a nurse) and I asked my RE this question at my IUI. She said it was fine to get one (not the mist though, only the shot) during the 2ww and she said the CDC doesn't say that if your are PG or are TTC that you need to thimersol free one but I think that is a personal choice, I want the thimersol free one anyway. I have decided to hold off on getting mine though until after my beta though.
Re: Flu Shot
beta#1 3/21 (14dp3dt)=413, beta#2 3/23 (16dp3dt)=785, u/s 4/11
EDD 11/25/12

What does your Dr say?
