Karyotype Test

My husband and I experienced our second loss at 8.5 weeks via D&C on September 6th. Our doctor ran testing on the fetus and discovered that the baby was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome. Since we have had more than one miscarriage, our doctor recommended testing. My husband and I both will go in tomorrow to get our blood drawn so they can examine our chromosomes doing a karyotype test. Has anyone else had this done before? What were the results? 

I am scared that it will come back bad results but I suppose it is just better to know now than having another miscarriage. 

Any advice or similar situations would be great to hear.

    I am so sorry for your loss...both my husband and I had it done and they were both normal...unfortunately all of my losses were early and I miscarried on my own so we never got to have testing on the babies....good luck I know how nerve wracking it can be{{{HUGS}}}

    We had ours done as well and they came back normal so our chromosome abnormality was a total fluke.  I think it's a good idea for you to find out.  There are a lot of options for you depending on the results and the more information you have, the better.
    Mom to G 10.23.06, H 9.04.08 and a baby in heaven 10.07.10 (23w due to chromosome deletion)

    i also had the genetic testing done which my baby had tris. 8 a chromosomal abnormality.  Sent me and my husband to do blood work everything was ok such as karo type but did discover i have a clotting issue called MTHFR Mutation.  They have me on a baby aspirin, folgard and prenatals.  Hopefully you will get a easy fix.  Dont worry its best that you find out what is going on. I have had 2 also and i know you just wanna give up sometime but this is for the best and you are going to get some answers!  Good luck!

    Thank you all for the support. We did get the blood work done so now we will just wait for the results and hope all is okay! I would like to start trying again in January if all shows nothing is wrong with either of us.

    Tests came back and we are completely normal - nothing is wrong with either of us. So, now we just need to decide when we are ready to try again. I am not sure what I will do if we have to go through another loss...
